Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery
24 hrs. biweekly, 7p-7a

The Family Birthing Center is a 32 bed unit specializing in vaginal and caesarian deliveries. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in providing effective and therapeutic treatment for deliveries, is passionate about patient education and family involvement, and an advocate in providing both psychological and emotional support.

We have 2 medical practices who care for our patients here at Meritus. 90% of our vaginal deliveries are done by certified nurse midwives! Our babies room with their mother after delivery if stable. We have 24-hour neonatology coverage and anesthesia coverage. We have lactation consultants who work 7 days a week. We have a Level II Special Care Nursery that is staffed separately. An experienced RN will receive 12 weeks of orientation.

Ultrasound and Care Maps

Requirements

BSN or willing to obtain within 5 years of hire
Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse
Current Maryland RN license, Compact or eligible for licensure in the state of MD
Current BLS and NRP
