Waterloo Family Med Clinic/ Part-time/ Day Shift

Under direct supervision, assists in patient care delivery as delegated by the provider. Performs clerical duties, phlebotomy, simple laboratory functions, and assists in direct patient care. Performs office duties as assigned. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.

What you will Do: 

Assists provider in providing care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served based on principles of growth and development.
Provides scheduling support for patients.
Provides support to various functions of the clinic.
Performs laboratory functions according to collection and processing policies and procedures.
Acts as a collaborating member of the clinic medical home team and is highly committed to a team construct.

Hours/Schedule:  

Part-Time / Day Shift / 40 hours biweekly (.5 FTE)

Minimum Qualifications:    

High School Degree or GED required.
Completion of Medical Secretary program preferred.
One year of experience in a clinic setting preferred.
Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with consumers and colleagues while performing their job duties.
