Job Description: The School Nurse provides health services and promotes wellness within the school community. Responsibilities include assessing and addressing students' health needs, administering medications, treating minor injuries, and coordinating care for students with chronic conditions. The School Nurse also educates students, staff, and families on health-related topics and collaborates with other school professionals to support student well-being.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
Knowledge of relevant health laws and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting student health and safety.

Requirements:

Valid RN license in the state of employment.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Completion of required continuing education or professional development.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
Flexibility to respond to health emergencies during school hours.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy of student health information.
Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training.
