Responsibilities
Ascension Saint Thomas is looking for a Part-Time Night Neuro Hospitalsit APP to join our team in Nashville, TN.
Position Highlights:
- Part-Time opportunity with $5,000 signing bonus
- Inpatient experience necessary
- Neuro experience preferred
- Coordinates and reviews patients with NeuroHospitalist to develop a care plan with each patient
- Communicates treatment plan to hospital personnel and consults patients and their family
- Needs to be a team player and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
- Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy
Neurohospitalist
- Ascension Saint Thomas supports a dedicated neurohospitalist program with integrated neuroscience research throughout our Ascension Saint Thomas Research Institute. Our network of facilities offers 24/7 stroke care at our Advanced Primary, Comprehensive Stroke, and Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Centers. In addition, telestroke and teleneurology services are available in outlying communities across middle Tennessee.
- Our stroke program has grown 8.5% over the past 5 years and our joint ventures across the continuum of care serve patients in stroke follow up clinics, outpatient neuro rehab and inpatient neuro rehab

Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home statelicense for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
• Master's degree of Nursing required.
