Position Summary
The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. Provides technical assistance to the admission process, under the direction of the Director of Intake and provides general support to the case management program when facilitating appropriate dispositions adherent to hospital policies and procedures.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inquiry calls are documented and processed in accordance with Intake policies
- Patients are assessed and stabilized prior to leaving hospital or admission to hospital is arranged
- Guest relations are demonstrated by example and employees in need of guest relations training are counseled

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
Experience: Preferably two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.
Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as an RN, LMSW, LCSW or LPC.
Additional Requirements: An extensive working knowledge of the DSM-V, ICD-10, and the Mental Status Exam. Additionally, an extensive working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field preferred. CPR certification and training in appropriate use of CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention before department orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
Work hours: Overnight shift, Fri, Sat, Sun - 7p - 7a or Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7p - 7a
