Full-Time 1:1 RN Needed near Tukwila, WA

Orientation and Onboarding: August 26, 2024

Start Date: September 16, 2024 – June 18, 2025

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
7.5 hours paid per day, 30-minute unpaid lunch
Total shift: 8 hours daily
Friday mornings: 90-minute late start (6.5-hour shift)

Caseload: Preschool/Elementary Levels, District-wide Services (Itinerant)

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time 1:1 position in Tukwila, WA. This role involves providing specialized care to a student with complex medical needs across multiple school sites. The position requires a dedicated professional who is comfortable with a range of medical procedures and is capable of supporting a student in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer medication via G-tube and respiratory medications via trach using spacer and nebulizer.
Perform resuscitation with a bag and oxygen for respiratory medication administration.
Provide CPT with a mechanical compressor and use the Passy-Muir valve (PMV).
Conduct trach and ventilator care including trach tube changes, stoma care, emergency airway management, and troubleshooting trach tube complications.
Perform oximetry and bag-mask ventilation via the trach tube.
Ensure proper documentation and communication with the student's educational team.
Provide support for bus transportation as needed.

Requirements:

Current Washington State Department of Health (WA DOH) RN License (BSN not required).
Two completed supervisory references submitted upfront.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (Hoyer lift use).
Competencies in trach and ventilator care including emergency procedures and troubleshooting.
Experience with the administration of respiratory medications and trach care.
Bus transportation support may be required.
