Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical – THCDS

Fast-paced, high volume Medical Surgical department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Center for Diagnostics and Surgery Plano, 6020 West Parker Rd. Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: Full Time Nights 36 hours per week; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Medical Surgical Department Highlights

18 beds 1:4 ratio fast paced, quick turnover, attention to detail
Cases include: urology, spine, ENT, ortho, plastics
Great leadership and a collaborative team environment

Here’s What You Need

Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire.
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days Req
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
