Registered Nurse, Radiology

Position Highlights:

Position: Registered Nurse, Radiology
Location: Glenbrook Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

What you will do:

Will be responsible to establish/streamline the entire MRI/CTA cardiac program.
Under the directions of the Staff Radiologist and/or Nurse Manager, this nurse provides quality nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, to the patient while in the Department of Radiology.
Will be involved in all aspects of patient care in the MRI/CT/Angio lab.
Will be responsible for scheduling MRI/CT times and coordinating with ancillary services as needed. Responsible for maintaining compliance with any regulatory body standards.
Performs at a level of optimum nursing quality, not requiring constant supervision.
Performs a variety of nursing and clerical duties to streamline Department of Radiology MRI/CT Cardiac cases, requiring independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.
Assumes responsibility for specific special procedures examinations and/or may be assigned duties, as requested

What you will need:

Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred
License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
Certification: Certification for ACLS. BLS/CPR certification required (American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider).
Experience: Minimum one year critical care experience preferred. Evidence of professional competence based on references related to experience.
Unique or Preferred Skills: Familiarity with ACLS drug protocol. Must be able to build and maintain good communications and working relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff and members of the community. Strong computer skills.
