Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The PACU registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the PACU. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for the vulnerable patients.

Required Qualifications

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Minimum Education: Current California R.N. license. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
New Grad RNs have up to 90-days after date of hire to obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Minimum Experience: Recent acute care experience, preferably in a critical care environment desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
