Position: PRN CNA
Schedule: Must work a minimum of 2 shifts per month
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.15 per hour, based on experience
- $2 Evening Shift Differential
- $1 Night Shift Differential
Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in various settings as needed. This role requires flexibility and the ability to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using appropriate assistive devices and techniques.
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including administering medication as directed.
- Assist with feeding, including preparing and serving meals and ensuring patient comfort during mealtimes.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including tidying patient rooms and changing linens as needed.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including infection control practices and confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and current CNA certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to [specific weight] pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a healthcare facility environment.
