Position Title: Registered Nurse II, Non-Acute

Department/Unit:Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Outpatient

Shift/Hours: Days/ 32 hours/week 4 eight-hour days

Expected Salary Range: Minimum $34.50 - 43.54; Mid-point; Salary determined based on years of nursing experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Rehab RN II with a minimum of two years of nursing experience to join our dynamic team. This 0.8 FTE role involves working 4 days per week (8-hour shifts) at our E Building, 3333 Burnet Ave location, with travel to both our Mason location. As an RN II in this specialized department, you will play a crucial role in coordinating patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide direct patient care in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers.

•Coordinate and support the rehabilitation journey for pediatric patients with diverse needs, focusing on individualized care plans.

•Educate families on medication management, therapy exercises, and long-term rehabilitation goals.

•Monitor patient progress, ensuring continuity of care from initial treatment through follow-up visits.

•Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Nurses who have graduated from a college level nursing program and have passed a national licensing exam.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

·Clinical Inquiry
Follows professional practice standards and guidelines. Questions appropriateness of policies and guidelines; questions current practice; seeks advice, resources, or information to improve patient care; begins to compare and contrast possible alternatives. Assists with development of competence in peers; formally, by precepting new employees, and informally, by sharing knowledge at the point-of-care. Uses self-appraisal performance review and peer review, including annual goal setting, for assurance of competence and professional development to promote safe and ethical practice using the nursing process. Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

·Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited inst with 2 yr. exp.

·If hired as an external candidate without BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date and complete program within 5 years of hire date

· Active Ohio RN License. May be required to obtain other state licensure.

· 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

·Foreign graduates must have license validated through CGFNS per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates

Preferred:

·BSN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN
