JOB TITLE: Preop/Recovery/Pre Admission Testing Nurse - PRN

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse is responsible for contacting incoming patients to obtain and review health history. Analyze and assess clinical data related to the patient’s anesthesia risk and appropriateness of ASC site of service. Orders additional testing needed prior to surgery when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Licensure and Certification: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
CPR required.
ACLS and BLS required.
Minimum one year in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative surgical patient care required.
Significant Experience in Electronic Medical Records and other software to include One Medical Passport, HST, and EPIC. Must become efficient in utilization of local Coastal Connect local platform.
Must demonstrate previous experience in coordinating other RNs, communicating successfully with physician offices
