Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - 1:1 School-Based Position

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in a 1:1 role, working closely with a high-needs student in a school-based setting. This position involves providing comprehensive physical care and support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 care for a high-needs student, including assisting with mobility, lifting, and positioning throughout the day.
Support the student with toileting needs, including diapering and personal hygiene as necessary.
Assist with getting the student up and down from the floor and other physical activities.
Accompany the student on the school bus to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being during transport.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure the student’s health needs are met and to support their educational experience.
Administer medications and perform other medical procedures as required.
Monitor and document the student’s health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate staff and parents.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for the student at all times.

Qualifications:

Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
Experience working with high-needs or physically challenged individuals, preferably in a school setting.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.
Comfortable with toileting duties, including diapering and personal hygiene.
Willingness to ride the school bus with the student as part of daily responsibilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 pounds].
Frequent bending, kneeling, and getting up and down from the floor.
Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina throughout the school day.
