The Detox RN delivers quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders; serves actively and constructely as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team; and ensures the safety and well-being of each patient.

Qualifications Education: Registered Nurse, detox, graduate of an accredited nursing program. BS or BSN preferred
Experience: Minimum of a year of recent detox nursing experience, preferably in psychosocial rehabilitation setting. Clinical and administrative experience in an inpatient and outpatient mental health setting preferred. Possesses general knowledge of all areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.
Age-Specific Competencies: Detox
Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio or maintains an RN license from a compact state. CPI/CPR certification required.
Other: Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to administer care. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Ability to relate well with treatment professionals; Ability to mobilize and coordinate staff resources; skills in dealing courteously with the public and individuals within the organization and counseling centers; organizational skills; ability to keep information highly confidential; ability to meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred.
