RN NICU PRN

Grandview Medical Center is hiring a strong Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care team! The ideal NICU nurse will have a wide degree of creativity and latitude in order to provide critical care for high acuity neonates. Schedule: 7P-7A, PRN Days

Performs functions of assessing; planning implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients during shift.
Responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment.
Assists physicians during examinations and procedures, as well as, collaboration with all members of health care team.
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
Promotes independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, concurrently performing a variety of tasks
Requires an associate's degree and an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through either AHA or American Red Cross required.
Experience with standard NICU concepts, practices, and procedures is highly preferred. If new graduate, recent preceptorship preferred.
