Open Until Filled GENERAL DESCRIPTION: As a Registered Nurse at the Wyoming Girls’ School, a therapeutic and educational facility for the treatment of court-ordered delinquent girls ages 12-21, you will play a pivotal role in providing holistic care and support to our residents. Your role will involve administering medications, providing treatments, coordinating healthcare services, and educating both residents on health-related matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of our residents. As an RN for the Wyoming Girl’s School, you will enjoy a flexible weekday schedule. - Functions as a secondary vaccine coordinator.
- Provides professional nursing services to teen female adolescents in chronic and acute care settings.
- Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
- Provides continuous care of patients through assessing, evaluating, and implementing processes to assure appropriate patient care and outcomes.
- Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the Physician.
- Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
- Triage calls from staff and handles routine concerns and emergencies.
- Communicates with Physician and follows through on orders as appropriate.
- Review lab values and consult reports.
- Provides formal assessments, documentation, and progress notes.
- Assists with patient ADLs (activities of daily living).
- Maintains resident health records.
- Assists in the updates of medication and treatment assistance records.
KNOWLEDGE: - Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing)
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able to:
- Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
- Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs.
- Restrain clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, and drive long distances.
- Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested.
- Work evenings, nights, on-call shifts, and /or weekends when the situation requires it.
