Licensed Practical Nurse functions under supervision of Physician and performs delegated tasks. LPN performs multi resource clinical functions to include but not limited to pre-certs/ prior authorizations, manage nurse calls for clinical questions, call back lab/imaging results and assist with transitional care management. Tasks performed are in compliance with department and hospital policies and procedures and within education preparation as well as Alabama Nurse Practice Act. Requires a high school diploma and certification as a licensed practical nurse or Certified Medical Assistant through NHA. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Diabetes background preferred.

Frequently exposed to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infective materials. Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions. Requires frequent bending and stooping motions.
