RN, Outpatient Behavioral Health, UHS Summit Building

United Health Services is seeking a RN, Outpatient Behavioral Health to join our Mental Health department at UHS Summit Building in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

$37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

This is a Monday through Friday position. The RN must be comfortable with our behavioral health patients, and come with experience with this patient population. This is a new position created to help the onsite provider with patient assessments, injections, med refills, and supporting patients with any medication side effects. The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
