Entity: Clinical Care Associates (CCA) - Penn Primary Care (PPC) and Penn Specialty Practices (PSP) of Penn Medicine Medical Group (PMMG)

Department: Penn Ob/Gyn Chester County

Location: 728 W Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA

Hours: Full Time

Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator, WHNP functions as a full-scope WHNP providing independent and/or collaborative care within the local Chester County OBGYN practices in accordance with its mission.
The Clinical Coordinator ensures compliance with TJC, CMS and DOH requirements across all practice locations.
The Clinical Coordinator will assist with developing and facilitating clinical education sessions for APP students, communicate new processes/updates, assist with coverage plans for unexpected needs and acts as the subject matter expert for clinical questions and EHR optimization.
The Clinical Coordinator will assist with hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new AP providers and AMB Nurses and complete clinical competencies and evaluations.
The Clinical Coordinator will work with the Physician Lead to create new departmental clinical processes and protocols and review and update clinical processes and protocols on an annual basis.
Typical scope for this role is: <10 = # of staff directly and/or indirectly managed <15,000 = # of budgeted annual visits
Complexity Factors (may involve a few of the following factors of practice complexity): multiple practice locations, high practice/facility square footage, service line oversight, coordination of inpatient services, coordination of care across several departments/entities, academic involvement (research initiatives, resident program), special clinical programs, multiple clinical specialties, complex regulatory requirements, management of external partnerships/collaborations.

Responsibilities:

Provides direct clinical care for patient population according to established protocols and utilizes evidence-based practice standards in collaboration with the team.
Functions within their scope and will refer to the collaborating physician when outside of scope, and/or directed by the collaborating physician or when requested by the patient and/or family.
Employee Satisfaction: communicates effectively with team and builds productive relationships.
Establishes/updates work processes and work practices
performs clinical duties to maintain workflows and adequate staffing levels.
Assist Practice Administrator/Manager, Director of Ambulatory Operations, Lead Physician, and Director of Advanced Practice with team and individual performance in alignment with Penn Medicine vision of service excellence. Acts as a clinical liaison between primary AMB Ob/Gyn department, Maternal Fetal Medicine and the inpatient Ob/Gyn department of Penn Medicine.
Staff Development includes identification of learning needs for team development, assisting with recruitment efforts and staff retention.
Assists the practice operations and/or clinical leads with appropriate staffing, quality, compliance (TJC, CMS, DOH, OSHA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Supports excellence in patient care, patient safety net review, and service recovery initiatives.
Supports proactive communication and problem solving to enable high performance of team and individuals.

Credentials:

Office of Medical Affairs (Required)
Certified Nurse Practitioner PA (Required)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

Master of Arts or Science (Required)
2+ years nurse practitioner experience (Required)
