Demonstrates necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the perioperative nurse, in accordance with AORN and other regulatory standards of practice.

Provides post-surgical care of patients who have received general anesthesia, epidural/spinal anesthesia, and/or IV sedation. Provides post anesthesia care to patients receiving high-risk intravenous therapies and blood components.

Monitors patient in recovery phase to prevent patient injury and identify and resolve complications promptly.

Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
