Advanced Practice Provider, Adult Urgent Care

Overview

Job Summary: Work as part of an Emergency Medicine team to improve outcomes for patients in a dynamic adult urgent care. In this role as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, the provider will work alongside other EM APPs, and EM nurses and staff to take care of patients. Though APPs in this role will collaborate with and share all patients with physicians, autonomy is both encouraged and fostered. Our EM APPs will learn to manage acute conditions, in a diverse population of patients, with increasing independent expertise. Our providers are encouraged to practice at the top of their license. Although the focus of this role is primarily clinical, there will be Career Development opportunities with access to get involved in Education, Administration and Leadership.

Requirements: APP post-graduate experience is preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

1. Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program

2. Licensed, or eligible, for North Carolina as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

3. Nurse Practitioners must be ENP certified or eligible to sit for boards within 6 months of starting employment.

3. Current BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. ATLS is required within a reasonable timeframe after starting employment.

The beautiful Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina has a moderate climate with all four seasons and a cost of living well below the national average. The Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway are a 1-2 hour drive to the north and west, and North Carolina's beaches are close enough to enjoy during long weekends. The region is on an upward trajectory that still maintains its Southern roots and small-town feel.
