They carry outthese responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursingpractice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Relateseffectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactoryrelations with other departments and nursing units; participates in all phasesof education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures,and skills of personnel. The ANA s standards apply to all nurses in allsettings, and additional specialty standards apply to all specialty nurse sdefining what is a competent or an excellent clinician. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and toperform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.Must have experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Client utilizes Allscripts ParagonMust be able to read vital signs and provide injections/vaccinationsMust be able and willing to floatwithout hesitation2 bed unit (step-down unit nursing position that must floatto Med Surge and regular ICU)Patient ratio is 2:14 to 6 week orientation before going on to the floor- Hands- On TrainingClient will give tour of unit at interviewUnder general supervision, plans, directs, andevaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift,in accordance with established philosophy.
