Registered Nurse, Pulmonary and Palliative Care Practices, Elkton, MD

Job Details

ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Pulmonary and Palliative Care practices located in Elkton, MD. This position will provide both patient care and telephone triage support.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday
8:00am-4:30pm
no weekends or holidays

Position Highlights

Provides telephone triage support for 2 practices within the same shared suite on the Elkton, MD campus. There are a total of 2 pulmonologists and 2 palliative care nurse practitioners. Another pulmonologist will be joining the practice in August 2024.
Participates as needed in bedside meetings at Union Hospital with patients and families who are initiating Advance Directives.
Applies critical thinking skills to help patient's navigate questions and concerns.
Assists with planning/arranging services in the home.
Calls with results of studies and labs and coordinates medication refill requests.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A graduate of a state approved or National League of Nursing accredited School of Nursing.
Two years’ experience as a RN, physician office experience preferred.
BSN preferred; ADN considered with agreement of completion of BSN in 3 years.

Special Requirements:

Current RN licensure in the State of Maryland.
BLS certification required.
