Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Provides patient care support in a multi-specialty clinic covering vacations and absences facility wide. Responsibilities are to support a patient experience during an office visit by rooming, discharging, phone calls, documentation, ordering tests and assisting with procedures with the patient’s care, comfort and safety as the primary concern.

**The LPN Float position receives an additional $1.00 per hour float differential on all hours worked.**

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Knowledge of patient care standards and practices acquired through graduation from an accredited LPN program or documentation of nursing education and training through an accredited Registered Nurse program that meets state requirements to take LPN boards.

Preferred/Optional: Licensed practical nurse (LPN) diploma. Associate degree in nursing

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Experience working with patient care. Demonstrated proficiency with verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred/Optional: Experience as a licensed practical nurse within an area relative to the hiring department.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Licensed Practical Nurse license awarded by the State of Wisconsin. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
