Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary: Psych Unit RN PT 24 Hour Nights 11p-730a. $7500 Sign on bonus for new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse provides care that addresses the specific needs of patients within an Adult Acute Behavioral Health Unit.

The Registered Nurse assumes full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to individuals and groups. Included in such responsibility are health maintenance, teaching, counseling, and collaborative planning with care teams. The Registered Nurse communicates with coordinators, physicians, charge nurse, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

The Registered Nurse, within the parameters of his/her generic and continuing education experience, may delegate nursing acuities to other registered nurses and/or health care personnel, provided that the delegating Registered Nurse shall bear full and ultimate responsibility for the patient outcomes.

The Registered Nurse must have excellent assessment skills, clinical skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge and charge capabilities. The Registered Nurse must be able to lift, transfer and move patients. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language. Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Certification/ Licensure:
- Current nursing license in Massachusetts required.
- BCLS required.
Experience: Previous Behavioral Health experience preferred.
