The GI/Hepatology Clinical Coordinator Registered Nurse is an essential presence in the Hepatology clinic, providing critical nursing support. Their responsibilities include ensuring smooth patient flow, addressing nurse-level patient visits, drafting result notes under supervision of MD, and offering support to fellow clinic team members. They also oversee the triage process for clinic referrals and procedures, manage symptom and red flag calls, and coordinate patient care. Working closely with providers, their aim is to uphold high-quality care standards and contribute to the advancement of the gastroenterology and hepatology division.
The Registered Nurse assesses and provides nursing care as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of practice and professional performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. The Registered Nurse will work in a busy clinic with the ability to coordinate care across the enterprise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
Must have an active California RN license.
BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Must have three (3) years of experience in GI and Liver procedural and clinic triage.
Recent experience in Gastroenterology (GI), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Advanced Gastroenterology, Motility Disorders, and Hepatology Clinical Coordination in an ambulatory clinical setting.
Must have experience handling specialty referrals from Epic Workqueue.
Proficiency with Windows-based software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately-complex problems to develop potential solutions.
Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.
Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical skills to identify and implement nursing interventions andevaluate results.
Must have excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff,physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BSN.
- Cisco experience.
- Previous ICU experience.
- Experience in ECC (Expedited Consult Clinic).

- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII or CNIV level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $59.34 - $83.17
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
