Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - Part Time - Nights

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (part time) on the night shift!

We are a Level IV Trauma Center with a Primary Stroke Center at the main campus in Cedar Park and a Free Standing Emergency Center in Leander providing faster access to emergency care in the local community. Both locations are available 24/7 with a staff of specialized Emergency Physicians and Registered Nurses along with onsite full-service labs, digital x-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound capabilities allowing us to provide a complete range of emergency diagnostic services.

Job Duties:

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
TNCC required within one year of hire
A minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred
Charge experience a plus
