The Informatics Implementation Specialist coordinates the implementation, training needs, and support for ongoing use of electronic applications for documentation, analysis and communication of all clinical systems, serving as a resource to all Care Initiatives locations. Flexibility to travel throughout Iowa, including overnight stays are required.

What you will do as the Informatics Implementation Specialist:

Play a lead role in the training and support of Care Initiatives Electronic Health Records.
Act as “super user” and advocate for software training, reporting, issues, and questions.
Regularly monitor indicators of progress within the software system to identify needs for improvement.
Observe and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and other organizational business information.
Consistently and cooperatively work with all Care Initiatives locations & staff members with professionalism.

What it takes to become an Informatics Implementation Specialist with Care Initiatives:

Active Iowa RN or LPN license
Experience working with Point Click Care - strongly required.
Experience working with Matrix Care - preferred.
Experience and knowledge of principles and practices for patient care disciplines delivering long-term care or hospice care.
Current Iowa driver’s license
Ability to travel statewide - required.
