GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position provides medical services in various settings for an adult population and collaborates with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to caring and providing clinical evaluations for patients. - Perform admission history and physical evaluations.
- Provide ongoing medical treatment to patients.
- Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for the medical care of patients.
- Perform on-call clinical coverage as needed and directed by the hospital medical director.
- Maintain all appropriate paperwork required for patient care in a timely manner.
- Assist in follow-up planning for the discharge of patients.
- Maintain an active role in updating treatment plans.
- Participate in committees and perform administrative duties as directed by the medical director.
KNOWLEDGE: - Knowledge of pharmacology, medication side effects, risks, and benefits.
- Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for medical illness.
- Knowledge of how co-morbid conditions (medical and neurological conditions, substance use, intellectual limitations) can affect medical diagnosis and treatment.
- Knowledge of the guidelines, rules, ethics and regulations regarding prescribing practices.

As required by Wyoming Licensing Board
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the Wyoming Board of Nursing.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, push, pull, etc., as would be expected to provide patient care and treatment in the clinic and hospital settings.
NOTES: - FLSA: Exempt
- At-Will position
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
- A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
- A current Influenza Vaccination is required.
- Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19.
