Concordia Visiting Nurses is seeking a "Palliative Registered Nurse" for a full time position which will cover our South Hills service area. No weekends! No Holidays! No on calls! Graduate nurses are welcome to apply! Your patients, your schedule!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Palliative Registered Nurse is a licensed healthcare professional with advanced medical knowledge who administers skilled nursing care to patients requiring intermittent visits in their homes. She/he provides complex care to the patient and coordinates necessary support services. These nursing services are provided to patients in accordance with a physician’s plan of care. RNs who serve as primary nurses utilize case manager approach in assessing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating client care.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE REGISTERED NURSES POSITION:

Registered professional nurse with a current valid Pennsylvania license
Minimum of two [2] years of current experience as a professional nurse in a medical/surgical work area and one [1] year of home health experience (preferred)
Skilled in critical thinking, communication, negotiation and collaboration
Reliable, independent means of transportation to make home visits. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and drive a vehicle with insurance limits as established by the state.
Palliative or hospice experience preferred.
