The MdRH Nursing Assistant Float Pool has an exciting opportunity for nursing students who are enrolled in an accredited Nursing Program to work as Nursing Assistant in our inpatient units. This opportunity will give you hands on experience and will give you early access to be considered for our Nurse Residency Program after graduation. Float to assigned unit/s: Med surg/Tele or ICU
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting and hygiene
Take vital signs
Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients
Assist in maintenance of a safe and clean environment
Work under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit
Answer phones and call lights
Ensure unit is stocked with supplies
Assist patient transporter as needed
Other duties as assigned

Shifts:

Night Shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Day Shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Experience:

Enrolled in an accredited Nursing program (Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's) and in good standing

Must have successfully completed the first semester of a nursing program

Must upload a copy of your most recent, unofficial transcripts

Certifications:

Current BCLS certification (required)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

Basic computer knowledge
