Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist to join our Surgical Services Team!
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will be responsible to administer general anesthesia, varied forms of regional anesthesia; including, but not limited to peripheral nerve blocks and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) in approved clinical locations.
Major Job Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluates the patient pre-operatively by interviewing and examining the patient; assesses data; selects appropriate anesthetic.
Administers anesthetics in accordance with clinical privileges delineated and any conditions or restrictions imposed thereof. These include general, spinal, epidural, IV sedation, and extremity blocks.
Performs medical non-surgical procedures; i.e., IV insertion, intubation, hemodynamic and electrolyte balance, airway management in routine and acute medical situations throughout the hospital.
Manages and monitors the patients post-operatively in PACU.
Prepares drug supplies for each case, and maintains anesthesia equipment to keep in safe operating condition.
Performs other duties as assigned. May be asked to serve on committees.
CRNA will be called in to assist all other hospital departments with difficult IV starts after failed attempts by other clinical staff.
Responsible for placing central lines and/or PICC lines.
Responsible for pain management procedures.

Have all the skills and ability to perform all duties required to maintain an independent anesthesia practice.
Experience
Five years CRNA experience preferred, but a minimum of 2 years experience as an independent CRNA required.
Experience placing central lines, PICC lines and pain management procedures is preferred; on-the-job training will be available.
Educational Requirements
Must maintain National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), a current Montana State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required. Graduate from an accredited RN and CRNA program.
Schedule
Anesthesia department is responsible for providing 24/7 coverage; therefore 24-hour call is required on a rotational basis.
