Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing BSN required, MSN Preferred
Enrollment in MSN program within 12 months of hire
National Certification Preferred
Experience / Qualifications:
RN- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
BLS/ACLS from American Heart Association
NRP/S.T.A.B.L.E. Certifications
PALS from American Heart Association
EFM Certification
Inpatient Obstetric and Maternal Newborn Nursing (NCC) certifications or Nursing Professional Development Certification preferred.
Position Summary:
The Women & Children Clinical Educator strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Florida Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. The Clinical Educator ensures practice is in accordance with competency required for that area.
This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction). This is done through participation in quality assurance or performance improvement initiatives.
Provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes.
In managing patient care the Clinical Educator will take a leadership role coordinating the interdisciplinary team working in collaboration with other health team members to enhance patient outcomes.
The Clinical Educator will determine training needs, develop training programs, and facilitate education sessions.
The Maternal Child Clinical Educator will cover areas including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Labor and Delivery, Pre- and Post-partum and Pediatrics at Jupiter Medical Center.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Threshold Requirements:
These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis.
Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
