Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PB) is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin.
The individual in this role will see patients for preventative services. assist with the community nursing homes, and assist with overflow to our perioperative surgical home department. Experience as an NP or PA in Internal or Family Medicine is required for this role.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Three years' primary care experience
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure or Physician Assistant. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
