RN: Registered Nurse for Admissions and Discharge Planning

Maple Farm Nursing Center, part of Garden Spot Communities, is currently seeking a Registered Nurse for Admissions and Discharge planning.

Maple Farm Nursing Center offers an innovative model of short and long term skilled nursing within two warm and welcoming households situated on 66 acres in Akron, PA.

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Status: Part Time Day Shift

Salary Range: starting at $37 hourly

What will I do in this role with Maple Farm Nursing?

As a Admissions and Discharge Planning Nurse, supporting the Garden Spot Communities' mission will include the following responsibilities:

Counsels certified nursing assistants and LPN charge nurses, updating the Director of Nursing as necessary.
Resident Admissions, resident discharges, social Servies support
Directs, evaluates, and supervises all resident care, initiating corrective action where necessary.
Makes daily resident rounds and reports the status of nursing care to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
Supervises the implementation of nursing rehabilitation and restorative programs
Reviews residents admitted and compares physician orders with each resident's plan of care to assure appropriate implementation of the physician's plan of care.
Consistently works cooperatively with administration, nursing service personnel, physicians, community agencies, residents, families, and consultants.

Registered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a licensed registered nurse.
Possesses initiative, judgment, dependability, and leadership skills.
Possesses the ability to work cooperatively with others and can delegate wisely.
Possesses the ability to teach skills necessary to provide quality care to the residents.
Possesses basic computer data entry skills.
