We are looking to add to our leadership team with a new RN-Manager of Clinical Operations.
This is a newly created job responsive to the incredible growth of Banyan further developing virtual nursing services and supports our healthcare organizations and systems. Banyan Medical Solutions is a pioneer in the healthcare industry, spearheading innovative virtual care solutions to cater to patients across the United States and in the Philippines. We are seeking an experienced and visionary individual to lead our dedicated team of healthcare professionals in nurturing and expanding our virtual care programs. This pivotal role is based out of our Tampa office in Florida and demands a blend of clinical expertise, strategic vision, and an understanding of virtual healthcare environments. The RN-General Manager will hold accountability for financial performance, service quality and daily operations for the Managed Services department. The RN-Manager of Clinical Operations will provide coaching, orientation, counseling, and training to all managed care staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managed Services Specific Duties
- Oversee the clinical operations of all virtual care programs managing the nursing /allied staff providing care support to clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and service in line with Banyan Medical Solution's standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various geographical locations to foster cohesive and efficient workflows.
- Lead the strategic development and implementation of innovative care delivery models to optimize patient outcomes and experiences.
- Monitor the performance of the Virtual Care Centers and our remote nursing workforce, including regular liaison with the administrative teams and the remote staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols that support safe, effective, and compliant virtual care services.
- Leverage data-driven insights to improve virtual care programs, focusing on quality improvement, risk management, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with the account executive team to assure the best in client experience and meeting deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Human resources and recruitment team to hire, train, and retain top nursing talents.
- Serve as an ambassador for Banyan Medical Solutions, representing the organization at industry events and forums, and collaborating with stakeholders to advance the field of virtual healthcare.
KPI's
- Regularly monitors, analyzes and reports on the status of programs. Partners with operations team in the Command Center, Account Management/Client Experience, Sales, and senior leadership to ensure service levels meet clients and Banyan standards.
Measures of Success:
- On a daily/monthly/quarterly basis, reviews programs' outcomes and staffing assignments and reports and advises on required changes to the program.
- Directs the preparation of reports, program materials, and other department's documentation.
- Interprets and gathers statistical data on program goals and outcomes. Identifies gaps in program performance and addresses those on timely basis to get to a resolution.
- Reports program outcomes, service gaps, and health trends. Interacts with client and internal team searching for collaborative relations and resource leveraging.
- Provides fiscal oversight for the department assigned areas of responsibility.
Measures of Success:
- Prepares and administers the department operational budget and ensures budget is met for the individual client contracts.
- Approves monthly spending financial reports for the department.
- Plans for financial sustainability and growth of programs within the department.
- Provides direction to the planning, program design, and operation of programs and strategies.
Measures of Success:
- Assures quality and compliance with policies and procedures and with contracts, rules, regulations, and standards.
- Develops, maintains, and reviews policies and procedures. Establishes and maintains standards of program operations.
- Leads and manages staff through mentoring, coaching, and supervision ensuring staff engagement to meet organizational and department goals and objectives.
Measures of Success:
- Staff demonstrate alignment with organizational mission and values.
- Staff productivity benchmarks are met.
- Staff are properly oriented and trained for successful performance.
- Staff receive timely and constructive feedback.
- Leads staff in team building and plans strategies to facilitate integration of department services into other operational areas.
- Supports the organization as needed. Roles and responsibilities may be altered to accommodate changing business conditions and objectives as well as to tap into the skills and experience of its associates.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor's degree in nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field required. A master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of three to five 3+ of healthcare experience in a hospital or clinical practice setting is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a director level role overseeing large teams is required.
Work:
- Full-Time Exempt; 40 hours standard business hours M-F, extended time as needed.
- After Hours Schedule: Manager supports a 24/7/365 workforce therefore the manager must be available to answer the phone and assist when called for elevated item the team leads or client needs help with.
- Expanded Hours: Position is a management position and will require working extra hours as needed based upon volume with little notice. It will not be uncommon for 45+ hour workweeks.
- Attendance: Predictable reliable attendance is required, as staff will be looking to this role to set an example and be available to answer questions.
- Travel: This position will require travel to Banyan and clients, current and future clients as needed and at times with limited notice. This travel is by car and/or plane with extended overnight stays.
License/Certifications: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license required, able to get compact/multistate. Current Registered Nurse license required in state where the patient is located will be required immediately upon hire.
Special qualifications: Manage and communicate data and information in a nursing informatics work environment to Managed Services Clients, nurses, health care providers and patients. Use data to make sound business decisions and plans, Implement organizational change. Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period. Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical problem-solving skills. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies. Ability to lead, plan and delegate tasks appropriately. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
