Advanced Practice Provider (NP) Nursery - UNC Health Lenoir - Kinston, NC

Description

UNCPN Neonatology at Lenoir in partnership with UNC Health Lenoir, located in Kinston, NC, are currently seeking NP/PAs to work fulltime in their Level 1 Nursery.

Schedule:

Days: 7 days on - 7 days off
24-hour shift
7am-7pm -Rounding
Call, after hours, at home

Responsibilities:

Primary caregiver in Level 1 Nursery to newborn infants
Assessing & diagnosing newborn infants
Preparing for transfer, if needed, to local Level 2-3 NICUs
Prescribing medication on your own authority with the agreement of supervising physician
Educating/supporting parents/guardians in the care of their newborn
Ordering/performing medical tests and procedures

Qualifications:

Certified NP/PA
NRP Certified (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
L&D, Nursery or Pediatric NP/PA work experience preferred
Neonatal NP/PA preferred
Open to new grad NP/PAs
Work independently with supervising physician oversight
