OVERVIEW

Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information.

Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.

Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

You have a High School Diploma

Associate’s degree in healthcare studies preferred

1 year experience in healthcare as a Nurse Assistant

Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish preferred

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

You have and maintain the following certifications:

BLS

Certified Nurse Assistant

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

You are able to guide patients and their families as they experience treatment plans, which can be medically complex at times. You’re able to break down technical information in a way that everyone can clearly understand. You’re able to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language.

You are able to help your patients feel at ease and less alone by showing your passion for healthcare. You’re able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, and co-workers.

You’re able to collaborate with everyone to ensure the patient’s care needs are met in an efficient, timely manner.
