Job Summary and QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:
The Sepsis Coordinator is responsible for providing performance improvement (PI) support and leadership to various clinical and non-clinical service lines, participating in concurrent and retrospective review, facilitating PI teams, and coordinating all aspects of the medical staff peer review process.
This position involves the following:
Identifying and coordinating activities geared toward improved patient care processes and outcomes for the septic patient population
Collaborating across the organization with appropriate leaders to develop metrics, data collection methodologies
Provide analysis to achieve department and organizational performance improvement goals
Develop reports that support PI activities
What qualifications you will need:
Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred, ADN required
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Leader preferred
A minimum of three years experience in critical care or emergency nursing. Recommended experience in quality improvement
