This is a 12 week program that utilizes simulation, course room and preceptorship to ensure you are ready to acclimate to the PICU setting. Job Summary and Qualifications• Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill pediatric patient.
• Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in PICU initiatives and process improvement.
• Maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.
• Support the mission, vision and values of the organization
What qualifications you will need:
Ideal backgrounds are Adult ICU, Adult Critical Care, Emergency Room, Pediatric Trauma, however, all backgrounds considered if you have a passion for pediatrics.
•ADN required, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
• RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
• PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• CCRN preferred.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
