Interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)? We will pay for your training!

Marshfield Clinic is offering a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare. We have partnered with North Central Technical College (NTC) to offer a CNA Training Program to help you jumpstart your healthcare career!

Program Details:

We invest in you – Marshfield Clinic covers the full cost of tuition and books.
Flexible Evening Schedule – Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5pm to 10pm, making it easier to balance work and other commitments. Classes begin on June 2 and conclude on July 23, 2025 (no classes from June 30 – July 4).
Hands-On Experience - Gain valuable healthcare experience while completing your training.
Commitment to patient care – a minimum of one year in a .5 FTE (20 hours per week) or higher in a CNA position is required upon certification.
Minimum Requirements to join the program - applicants must meet the following criteria: At least 16 years old, CNA Certification will be required within 120 days of hire, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Deadline to apply: May 5, 2025, or until the class reaches 10 students.

After Program - Certified Nursing Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and in accordance to the patient/family care plan to collect patient information and provide direct patient care contributing significantly to the achievement of patient and family outcomes. As a member of the direct care team, the CNA is responsible and accountable for complete and accurate collection and recording of data, completion of routine and delegated direct patient care activities and communicating and collaborating with the Registered Nurse to prioritize workload.

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Must have or has had a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
