What You Will Do as a Home Health Aide

As a Home Health Aide, you will [insert job description intro]. Some of your primary responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care to patients including, bathing, changing bed linens, assisting with dressing, etc.
Preparing nutritious meals and assisting in feeding
Taking vitals such as, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as needed
Assisting patients in the self-administration of medications
Reporting on patients’ conditions and significant changes to the RN

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements

Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws
18 years of age or older
Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
Active CPR certification
