Responsibilities:

Assisting residents with ADL tasks as indicated in their service plans. This includes but not limited to: assisting withbathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, servingandassisting withmeals, feeding,housekeeping,bedmaking,andlaundry
Always observe and uphold resident rights
Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues
Assistotherstaffasneededonthefloors
Assistresidentstoandfrommeals
Supports resident activity participation by assisting residents to/from activities, encouraging participation, and leading activities when asked.
Must be willing to work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of careforresidents
Keepenvironment safeandcleanforresidents;performing housekeeping duties as indicate on task sheets.
Observe residents for safety and report any and all changes in resident condition effectively,accurately,andinatimelymannertoLNonduty
Assist in development and revision of Service Plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches.
Answers all resident pendant calls immediately.
Carryandpossessaworkingknowledgeofcommunitycall system, policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.

Additional Functions:

Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families, and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.
Always demonstrates safe working practices.
Maintains a professional image to residents and fellow co-workers in words, actions and in appearance
Always maintains confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff.
Relatetoresidentsinacourteous,empathetic,andcooperative manner.
Must be a mature individual.Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-pacedenvironment and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on shortnotice.
Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Mustbedetailandteam-workoriented.
CNA must attend required in-services/ classes to further education of skills and staterequirements.

Qualifications:

MustbeDrugfree
Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check and TB test.
Must be eighteen (18) years old.
Maintains current CPR and first aid certification or willing to obtain.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret care plans.
Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations familiarity.
Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living

Physical Demands and Requirements:

Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
Mustbewillingtobeactiveandonfeetduringentireworkshift.
Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
