Job Summary and Qualifications

The Burn Services Registered Nurse performs the active nursing process consisting of the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients. May assume the role as Team Leader for part or duration of shift. We have an amazing team dedicated to patient care, apply today!

You will utilize creative problem-solving skills using critical thinking, active listening skills and empathy
You will adhere to and promote proactive patient, personal and facility safety
You will demonstrate a professional approach to open and honest communication skills
You will promote positive Customer Service with a Patient and Family Centered Care Philosophy
You will seek opportunities to improve care or system process; Incorporate Performance Improvement principles and data
You will support and contribute to the success of the hospital’s mission and vision
You will meet Standard of Practice and Care using established policies and procedures of the facility
You will ensure care is delivered with an awareness to resource management
You will perform active case management of the patient’s healthcare process
You will promote positive customer service with colleagues, physicians, guests, patients and vendors.
You are to perform duties and responsibilities of all lesser included jobs
You are to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Current licensure in Nevada as a Registered Nurse Required
Demonstrated current RN experience in Burn Services/Care Required. Must exhibit quality communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
ACLS, BCLS, ABLS within 1 year of hire. Passing score on Critical Care Test/ Rhythm interpretation examination
CCRN preferred
Ability to participate in considerable walking and standing, moderate lifting, and exposure to patient elements and handling of emergencies and critical patient incidents
