About the Position

The Nurse II assist the Regional TB Nurse in the assigned District. The Nurse will be responsible for TB case management particularly in Pearl River, Harrison, and Jackson counties. The Nurse II is responsible for performing an initial assessment on all TB cases and TB suspects. The Nurse II is responsible for reviewing the patient records daily and reviewing with the TB Consultant monthly. The Nurse two is responsible for performing additional test i.e., skin test, IGRA, sputum collection, administering medication and providing patient with referrals. The Nurse II is responsible for conducting an interview with the patient to elicit others that have been exposed to an active disease case. The Nurse II is responsible for attending all trainings related to the position.

What you'll need to be Successful

Skilled in phlebotomy. Skilled in medication administration. Have interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

In accordance with federal law, all employees serving in the armed forces or the military reserves are entitled to 15 days per year for military training.
