**Job Title: Overnight Med-Tech/Caregiver**

**Location:** Sage Valley

**Job Type:** Full-Time/Part-Time (depending on needs)

**Shift:** Overnight (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)

**Salary:**18.00-19.00

**Position Overview:**
As an Overnight Med-Tech/Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients while providing assistance with daily living activities. You will be responsible for administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and offering companionship and support during the night shift. Your compassionate nature and attention to detail will make a significant impact on the lives of those you care for.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Medication Administration:**
- Administer prescribed medications and document adherence to medication schedules.
- Monitor clients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding client medication concerns.

2. **Personal Care Assistance:**
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers as needed.

3. **Health Monitoring:**
- Regularly check and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and report changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Recognize and respond to changes in clients’ health status.

4. **Emotional Support:**
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during the night.
- Engage in conversation, activities, and other recreational opportunities as appropriate.

5. **Safety and Security:**
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients.
- Monitor clients' safety throughout the night, addressing any hazards or emergencies.

6. **Documentation:**
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration and any observations on clients’ well-being.
- Report any changes in clients’ conditions or needs to the supervising nurse or manager.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Med-Tech or similar preferred.
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a healthcare setting is strongly desired.
- Valid state certification and training for medication administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
