Job Summary and Qualifications

The CST collaborates with the physician and Registered Nurses to serve in a support role within the Operating Room. The CST is responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Proficient in surgical environment as surgical assistant passing instruments and assisting the physician during surgical cases.

What qualifications you will need:

At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Tech
Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or a hospital or military training program
Certified CST by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Assisting (NBSTSA) or the Liaison Council Certification of the Association of Surgical Technologist or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required within 90 days of hire
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
Vocational School Graduate
