Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this full-time, on-site role, you will provide essential healthcare services to students, ensuring their health and safety while fostering a healthy and supportive school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about student health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer first aid and emergency care to students and staff as required.
Provide medications and treatments according to physician orders and district protocols.
Monitor students with chronic medical conditions and ensure proper accommodations.
Perform health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) and follow up on referrals.
Maintain detailed health records, including immunizations and medical histories.
Collaborate with school staff to create health plans for students with special medical needs.
Educate students and staff on various health-related topics, including prevention and wellness.
Work with parents and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for students.
Assist in creating emergency response plans and contribute to crisis management.
Ensure compliance with state health laws and district policies.

Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with children with chronic health conditions.
Familiarity with school health screenings and state health regulations.
Organizational and time-management skills.
