Job Summary and Qualifications
Oversees emergency preparedness and patient care for imaging services staff by providing support, direction, consultation and policy review. Assures PRN, shared and contract nurses providing relief are appropriately credentialed and competent.
What you will do in this role:
Administers Conscious Sedation in the patient undergoing various Imaging Studies within Imaging Services departments. Monitors high risk, acute and impaired patients during and pre and post imaging procedures when applicable. Responds to patient needs. Advises technologists on patient care concerns and needs. Reviews and is responsible for medical emergency preparedness and compliance with hospital wide continuity of patient care, and adherence to JCAHO and other quality standards. Assists with interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by radiologists. Assists anesthesiologists in pre and post anesthesia. Participates in hospital wide Performance Improvement activities.What qualifications you will need:
- Experience with Imaging procedures preferred
- Critical Care experience required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or compact state license
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
