Qualifications House Supervisor RN Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure by Florida State Board of Nursing
- 5 years clinical experience in acute care hospitals.
- 2-3 years progressive nursing leadership experience
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's in Nursing or other appropriate discipline preferred
- BLS required (AHA)
- ACLS required (AHA)
- Certification in specialty area preferred
- Demonstrates effectiveness in leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication skills
- High tolerance for stressful situations
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationship skills and strong people skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Role and Responsibilities
The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care throughout the hospital for a defined shift. Responsible for coordination and continuous delivery of quality patient care, administrative issues, transfers, bed placement, and staffing throughout the building in conjunction with the Department Directors and Chief Nurse Executive and Medical Staff. Has a thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, ACHA, AOA, and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
Demonstrates service excellence, serves as a role model for high reliability and has the ability to resolve complex problems in a collaborative and positive way to ensure desired outcomes.
